These are the two thieves/thugs that took the bike from the front yard. We didn't press charges, but was able to find my kid's bike. Disappointed that the parents of these two were not teaching them to be decent humans.

my gasket wont stretch around the whole plastic hexagon thing, flushed to the ceramic bowl.. ugh
Have you tried to heat the gasket up in some hot water? It's not ideal but may help it to stretch enough to slip over the "hexagon thing" Best of luck. Give it a try and let me know if it was able to do it for you. Thanks
@@BenjaminPhillips2020 i was able to stretch it over before seeing your comment but just over the hexagon.. not over the flat circle under the hexagon, is that okay? lol ive watched many videos & the gasket seems to go over everything so easily
@@BenjaminPhillips2020the top of the gasket is flushed with the threaded part though.... yours looks like a softer rubber, mine is super hard ha i got the cheaper walmart brand for $4.00 maybe i need to get the better brand?
If it is not leaking then you are okay. I'd make a note on my calendar to check that area for water over the next few weeks. If it is leaking, then buy a better gasket. If not, then yay.
@@BenjaminPhillips2020 thank you! i havent been able to connect it... the fill valve threaded part is deteriorated & stripped when tried connecting to the hose, was trying to unscrew it to replace the fill valve but it wont budge 🤣 so much for fixing the toilet myself haha the toilet was an extra in the house that was never replaced so we have had the toilet in, just not the tank.. its been over 15 years just sitting so the whole valve is probably all brittle.. anyway thanks for the video, it was very helpful

I put the toilet tank on, but it wobbles a little. Is that normal? I’m afraid to tighten it too tight and crack the porcelain. All the washers are lined up, and nothing is cracked.
Good morning! I hope you had a chance to subscribe and like my channel. As for the wobble, well, it shouldn't really do that. Some manufacturers supply a few small plastic or rubber "C" These would be placed between the bowl and the tank. The rubber "C" or horseshoe would be squeezed a little bit by the tank bolts to the toilet bowl. That would prevent it from wiggling. Look around the area and box and see if you may have missed those. Let me know.

Excellent video I love the way the manufacture put the washers and nuts in order. Question: is it OK to put a metal washer on the inside of the tank on top of the rubber washer?
I would only install a tank to the bowl as I demonstrated in the video. Adding washers that may rust or have a negative effective may not be the best choice. Best of luck

I know that this was ten years ago, but how would you do a corner tub?
Can you give me a bit more information? The skirt I did, 10 years ago, has an outside corner on the back of the tub, right side. Let me know and I will see if I can trouble shoot it for you. Thanks

Nice soldering job--no drips. But I always heard you shouldn't use a wet rag for a wipe because the rapid cooling of the pipe might affect its temper/strength.
You are correct. If you can avoid cooling the lines ( like I had to do) then by all means let them cool down on their own time. I had to cool them down for safety. There were small children nearby and would have felt terrible if they would have gotten burned from a hot cap. Thanks and good luck with your project.

Seems silly to me, why not compression fittings or sharkbites. You'll have to replace it eventually anyway?
In the video, I specifically state that this is about soldering. It is not about sharkbites. That product in my experience fails more quickly that a standard solder job. Good luck

Thank you sooooo much for this video!!! I changed the disintegrating bolts the right way with your video. Fluid master package said to use 1 washer each side which cause leaks immediately. I went to lowes and got extra washers and now have 2 washers per hole, one inside and one outside just the way you did it and NO LEAKS!!!!! Shame on fluidmaster!!! I wasted 2 days on this bull----. I will fix the other bathroom tomorrow!

I must have watched ten videos on how to install a toilet could never figure out how to attach the bowel without some questions unanswered. This was great video and demonstrated EVERYTHING perfectly
So.....NO metal washer on the inside of the tank? Bolt, rubber washer and that's it? Secure from below with a rubber AND metal washer? Is it a good idea to tighten the bolts evenly to ensure that the bowl seats properly? Thanks and a great vid!

i have the same torch and the fitting on the faucet will not come off .its for outdoor faucet .any ideas people.
With the water off, you can cut with a hacksaw, or use a pipe cutter. If the stem is to small to cut, you may have to use a coupling and marry a longer piece on for your purposes. Best of luck
Great video instruction. It is helpful. One thing We should take the on-off switch off when soldering the join, there is a gasket inside, you may burn it.....
Excellent video, order of washers, nuts etc was helpful. However several other videos state NOT to put washers in between tank and toilet due to possible rusting. So I don't know what the do about this.
